Magellan's Cross - It refers to the original cross planted by explorers of the Spanish expedition of the first circumnavigation of the world, led by Ferdinand Magellan, upon arriving in the Philippines on April 21, 1521.
The original cross was encased inside another wooden cross made of tindalo wood in 1835. This is to protect the original cross from people who chipped away parts of the cross who believe that the cross possesses miraculous powers.
The Magellan's Cross Pavillion which houses the tindalo cross was built sometime in the 1800's. The structure is an octagonal kiosk made of coral stone. On the ceiling of the pavilion's interior, is a mural depicting the baptism of Rajah Humabon and his household by Father Pedro Valderrama and the planting of a wooden cross by Ferdinand Magellan. The artwork was done by Jess Roa and Jerry M. Josol.
The Archdiocesan Museum of Cebu - is a museum in Downtown Cebu City in the Philippines, reopened in November 2006.
The focus of the museum is regional Church architecture and artifacts. Many of the items on display are from the Spanish colonial times.
It is situated next to Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral, and not far from the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño.
The collection was in the priest houses and is housed is a building which in itself a museum piece that goes back to the 19th century.
Ayala Center Cebu - is a large shopping mall owned by Ayala Malls at the Cebu Business Park in Cebu City, Philippines. It is the first ayala malls located outside of Metro Manila.
It opened in November 1994, one year after their rival mall SM City Cebu opened.
For more than 20 years, it was the only Ayala Mall to bear the word Ayala in its name until Ayala Malls Serin opened in March 2015.
It has a total floor area of 240,688 Sq.meters. 7 Storey with 3 storey below ground and more than 680 retail stores and services.
It is the centerpiece of the Cebu Business Park Complex.
Pungko Pungko sa Fuente - Pungko Pungko is a food stalls that you find along the streets which sells a random assortment of fried food. The term "Pungko" is Cebuano for squat or crouch. Usually you will be sitting on low benches so you will have to be slouching while eating. Hence, the name Pungko Pungko. Located right across Apple Tree Suites or behibd Fuente Circle (Hi-Precision Fuente). Pungko Pungko sa Fuente is open everyday from 6AM to 10PM.
Mactan Cebu International Airport Terminal 1 Departure Area. -
Terminal 1 is dedicatedd to domestic flights while Terminal 2 services International flights.
